Creative Groups
Therapeutic art groups for when you don't need therapy

The realities and expectations of parenting today can sometimes contribute to parents feeling lonely, inadequate, and overwhelmed; often finding yourself and your wellbeing needs at the bottom of the priority list. But in order to best support and care for your babies, prioritising your wellbeing is essential. However, this doesn't necessarily mean that you need therapy or mental health treatment. Attending creative therapeutic groups with other parents and their babies facing similar experiences can help normalise some of these challenges, build feelings of connected and capable of parenting in line with your values.

Sketch Strollers
A relaxed drawing group for parents with their pre-mobile babies, to connect with the outdoors, and with other parents. You don't need any art experience or materials, just come as you are with a readiness to be creative.

You might find that you:
-
enjoy expressing yourself creatively and being playful
-
can fill a whole sketchbook full of Victoria Park in Bristol
-
feel less isolated
-
notice your wellbeing improve
-
enjoy a moment of self care
Each session starts with a grounding technique, followed by a couple of opportunities to stop in different parts of the park to creatively capture the scene; closing with a quick check-out. I encourage people to sign up for at least a month, so that they can get to know others and grow in confidence with the art materials.

Sessions take place weekly on Fridays from 10-11am in Victoria Park, Bristol, BS3.
